Notes

Baptised at St Mary church.
From Robson's Directory 1820.
Note also that Pigot's Directory of 1827 and 1828 also lists a John Boreman, Builder of 30 Store St. It seems unlikely that two neighbours would have such similar but differently spelt names so possible that John had 2 businesses and also interchanged Boraman with Boreman.
However the butcher's business didn't last long as John Boraman was declared insolvent on 7 Oct 1830 in the London Gazette and on 24 Jun 1831 a final dividend was declared to his creditors. His sister Lydia was identified as a creditor.
In the 1841 census he was living alone and identified as not working but being 'Independant'.
